Francisca del Pino, or instagram as: FranFitnhealthy is one of my greatest inspirations when it comes to healthy food, that's why today I invited her to write here [#TresChicPeople] about her lifestyle and of course to get inspired by her experience to look for that better version of ourselves:
I have always liked to cook, especially sweets, but just at 2015 I began to be more conscious about the food I consumed and the ingredients I used.
It was not easy to make the change and understand what it really meant to be healthy, but little by little I learned it. That's why I want to share my experience and my point of view on this subject.
Let me them you that at 15 years old I started to feel insecure about my body. I thought I was fat and that I had to do extreme diets and a lot of cardio to be able to see myself as magazine models. After one or two weeks I did not see the results I wanted, I gave up and went back to my bad habit of eating junk food and doing cero physical activity. I kept on it for several months and had a hard time understanding that everything is about balance. For example, if we decide to make a diet that does not allow us to eat bread and chocolate, it is likely that we will not last more than 1 month since we will want to eat that bread and chocolate (at least for me it would be like that). So instead of going to the extremes, I began to propose small and achievable goals every day.

1. Revisa los alimentos que consumes.
Intenta dejar los alimentos procesados y empaquetados.
Aprende a hacer tus propios snacks, granola, tortas, etc.
2. Mantente activo
correr, sacar a pasear a tu perro, jugar futbol/ volley/ tenis/ etc.. Y si no
Where to start? Here are some tips:
1. Check the foods you eat.
Try to leave the processed and packaged foods. Learn how to make your own snacks, granola, cakes, etc. You will see that on the internet you can find thousands of recipes of all kinds that contain only natural ingredients. Over time your body will thank you and you will feel much better. Focus on eating real food like fruits, vegetables, legumes, fish, eggs, etc. and consume quantities in moderation of each one. Beyond calories, the important thing is to understand exactly what we are placing in our body.
2. Stay active
It is important to stay active and not create excuses. It does not matter that you can not go to the gym, you can exercise at home, go for a run, take your dog for a walk, play soccer/ volleyball/ tennis/ etc... And if you do not have enough time then start shortly, take the stairs instead of the elevator, walk 15 minutes after lunch / dinner, always doing a little is better than nothing. My advice is that you do not start with exercises that are very intense or thouse you do not enjoy doing, because that will exhaust you and it will be easier to give up.
3. Escucha a tu cuerpo
tiempo vas a estar comiendo bien y ejercitando tu cuerpo entonces no pasa nada
Aprendamos a escuchar
a nuestros cuerpos.
4. Ten Paciencia
Estás cambiando muchas partes de tu vida y de tus hábitos
diarios.
3. Listen to your body
If you really are dieing to eat a brownie with ice cream, go for that brownie. If you do not feel like exercising one day, do not do it. The good thing about maintaining a healthy life is that you know that most of the time you will be eating well and exercising your body so nothing happens when you eat that cheat meal or if you do not exercise one day. Let's learn to listen to our bodies.
4. Be Patience
You are changing many parts of your life and your daily habits. Be patient and give yourself the opportunity to make mistakes without feeling guilty. Mental health is as important as food and exercise so, we must have a positive attitude and mentality in order to continue motivating ourselfs every day.
