Pasear por el Caribe a bordo de un crucero estaba en mi lista de deseos, no quise escuchar muchas opiniones al respecto ya que sabía de antemano que estaban divididas al respecto, quise vivir la experiencia por mi propia cuenta y la verdad me divertí muchísimo. No soy precisamente una persona que se acueste todo el día a tomar sol en una playa, por eso esta idea de pasear por el Caribe conociendo cinco ciudades en siete días me sonó realmente genial y con el tiempo suficiente en cada pequeño paraíso. A bordo del Monarca lo tienes todo, no hay que preocuparse más que de sonreír y pasarlo bien: tienes comida y cócteles a todas horas, gimnasio, piscina, bares y discos, cubiertas para tomar el sol y caminar. Claro en un barco tan grande, con alrededor de 2500 personas a bordo si suele ponerse un poco llena la situación, pero si actúas de forma inteligente evitando las horas pico y buscando los spots adecuados puedes encontrar con facilidad lugares increíbles como para ver atardeceres bellisimos en alta mar y descansar sin molestias.
Traveling on the Caribbean on a cruise had been on my wish list for a while. I did not want to hear many opinions about it because I knew in advance that they were divided about it, I wanted to live the experience on my own and to tell you the true I really enjoyed it. I'm not exactly a person who spends all day sunbathing on a beach, so this idea of traveling through the Caribbean knowing five cities in seven days sounded really great and with enough time in each little paradise. Aboard of the Monarch you have it all, you only have to worry about smiling and having fun: food and cocktails at all hours, gym, swimming pool, bars and discos, decks for sunbathing and walking. Sure in such a big boat, with around 2500 people on board the situation can gets a bit crowded, but if you act intelligently avoiding the peak hours and looking for the right spots you can easily find incredible places to see beautiful sunsets in high sea and rest without any complain.

Willemstad fue nuestra primera parada, había visto en tantas fotografías las fachadas del centro de la ciudad que me emocionaba muchísimo bajar del barco y salir a recorrer estas calles. Es realmente un gran ejemplo de la arquitectura colonial neerlandesa y con razón Patrimonio Mundial de la Humanidad. Sabía que mis siguientes destinos incluían playas hermosas por es aquí quise disfrutar de un plan de cuidad: disfrutar de la comida típica caribeña (les recomiendo el Keshi Yená de Gouverneur De Rouville Café), un cóctel con licor azul Curaçao, ver moverse en repetidas ocaciones el Puente Queen Emma y simplemente caminar y entender el ritmo de la ciudad.
Willemstad was our first stop. I had seen in the photographs the facades of the center of the old city and that keept me so excited that I got off the ship and went out to walk these streets. It is really a great example of Dutch colonial architecture and rightly World Heritage of Humanity. I knew that the following destinations included beautiful beaches so, I decided to enjoy this day with a city plan: enjoy the typical Caribbean food (taste Keshi Yená at Gouverneur De Rouville Cafe), cocktail with Curacao blue liquor, see the Queen Emma Bridge move repeatedly and simply walk and understand the rhythm of the city.
