Llegó el primer Post de Colombia Moda! Tengo demasiadas cosas por contarles de mi hermosa experiencia en este evento. Quiero empezar por decir que es increíble y que con justa razón es el evento de moda más grande de Latinoamérica, pues lo tiene todo para hacer importantes contactos, mejorar tus conocimientos e inspirarte sobre la industria de la moda. Aquí simplemente se respira moda durante tres días.
Al planificar este proyecto de ir a la Semana de la Moda Colombiana tenía claro que quería vestir marcas ecuatorianas! Quería sentirme orgullosa en tierra ajena de lo que vestía y que cuando me preguntasen de donde es lo que llevas decir: es Hecho en Ecuador! Creo firmemente que ya debemos dejar atrás ese cliché de que solo somos prendas étnicas, sombrero de paja toquilla o tejidos. En nuestro país también tenemos marcas que con creatividad y personalidad te permiten llevar tu día a día y que se adaptan a tu estilo, prendas diseñadas y no con esto me refiero a que son costosas. Hoy llevo esta camiseta con un detalle super cool bordado de Malakita Design y esta falda tan femenina de Cela, las dos marcas ecuatorianas, con muchísima personalidad. Ambas me ayudaron a crear este atuendo con fuerza y naturalidad de las prendas básicas contrastadas con un estampado floral y silueta muy femenina. Les gusto???
The first Post from Colombia Moda arrived! I have too many things to tell you about my beautiful experience on this event. I want to start by saying that it is just amazing and indeed this the biggest fashion event in Latin America. This place has everything to make important contacts, improve your knowledge and be inspire by the fashion industry. Here you simply breathe fashion for three days.
While planning to go to the Colombian Fashion Week I was clear that I wanted to wear Ecuadorian brands! I wanted to feel proud in a foreign land about what I was wearing and when they asked me about it I could say: It's Made in Ecuador!
I firmly believe that we must leave behind that cliché that we are only ethnic garments, straw hat or artisan fabric. In our country we also have brands that with creativity and personality allow you to carry on your dayly style, designed garments and not with this I don't mean that they are expensive.
Today I wear this shirt with a super cool embroidered detail of Malakita Design and this feminine skirt of Cela, both Ecuadorian brands, with a lot of personality. This two helped me to create this outfit with the strength and naturalness of the basic garments contrasted with a floral print and a very feminine silhouette. Do you like it?

Con una pasarela llena de color, diseño, estampado y una dinámica puesta en escena, se inauguró la Semana de la Moda de Colombia, a cargo de Arkitect by Custo. Una colaboración entre el diseñador Custo Barcelona y Almacenes Éxito, quienes a través de una colección del diseñador internacional reafirman los conceptos de democratizar la moda. Además de tener una producción 100% hecha en Colombia, que impulsa la industria textil del país, el talento artesanal y las propuestas sostenibles. No pude evitar ir por una de sus prendas que pronto verán por aquí.
With a colorfull catwalk, design, prints and a dynamic staging, the Fashion Week of Colombia was inaugurated, by the hands of Arkitect by Custo. A collaboration between the designer Custo Barcelona and Éxito Stores, who through a collection of the international designer reaffirms the concepts of democratizing fashion. In addition it is a 100% made in Colombian production wich involves craft talent and sustainable proposals. I could not help but go for one of this pieces that you will soon see around here
Purificación fue la puesta en escena de Diego Granizo y Maria Luisa Ortiz, quienes de la mano de Fundación Avon Colombia nos brindaron una pasarela muy creativa y apasionada. Abrieron el show los testimonios de mujeres valientes que alzaron la voz y se liberaron de la violencia de género, causa para la cual esta fundación está siempre trabajando. Luego la voz de Andrés Cepeda se encargó de reafirmar este mensaje y acompañar a los modelos durante su camino en la pasarela. Por supuesto esto a todos nos puso mucho más en contacto con el concepto de los diseños y el mensaje de empoderamiento de la colección.
Purificación was a production of Diego Granizo and Maria Luisa Ortiz, who with the companion of the Avon Colombia Foundation gave us a very creative and passionate catwalk. The show opened the testimonies of brave women who raised their voices and freed themselves from gender violence, which is the major cause of this foundation. Then the voice of Andrés Cepeda was responsible for reaffirming this message and accompany the models during their way on the raunway. Of course this all put us much more in touch with the concept of the designs and the message of empowerment of the collection.
